I have some old boots, good quality, very comfortable, but rather plain and beat up that I think are perfect candidates for a trendy make over and reconditioning/polish. Does anyone have any experience with adding metallic tips and heel guards to their boots? Any wisdom to share about doing it, is it as simple as it looks?
