I was supposed to meet Michelle this weekend, but to my great sadness it didn't happen. First my lack of a car came back to haunt me, and then my own personal stupidity did (left my cell phone in a restaurant and didn't realize it until I had been gone for about 45 minutes). I'm not exaggerating when I say I had no words to express my disappointment. I had been looking forward to this all week.

Obviously, retail therapy was needed.

I had to return a broken ice cream maker to Macy's on my mom's behalf, so while I was there I swung by INC just in case the ruched sleeve top I wanted miraculously showed up on the sale rack again in my size. And it did! For $25! Wondering if I should have it shortened?

Then I went to check out the clearance section at DSW to see if they had the Blowfish Whence boots I was thinking of getting. They did not. But they did have some electric purple studded flats that are as comfy as bedroom slippers. They are not on the DSW site but they are JS buy Jessica Simpson and they are amazing. The lining is soft (hot pink) suede, so no blisters. I am amazed they are were only $29 ($19 with my coupon). They had them in black too but the purple was just singing to me. They are suede so they're no good in a rainy climate though.

I also tried these on but didn't like the blue denim color, so I passed. They were amazingly comfortable, very inexpensive, and are on my hit list. There are two styles, Cruize and Cruise. I'm not sure if they are the same or if one is the updated version. The ones I tried were Cruise with an "S".

So...it wasn't a totally disappointing day. But I am still sad that I this is the second time Michelle has been here, 15 minutes away, and this is the second time I have missed out on meeting her I guess I will just have to go to Toronto now.
