Different kinds of denim?

I've recently been learning about the various kinds of denim material used and was wondering which is your personal favorite and go to place to shop for denim?

I shop at Kohls.

I wear denim on Fridays to the office, otherwise, I've opted for athleisure on weekends.

I only recently started wearing denim. I wear: Old Navy (74% cotton; 24% polyester, 2% spandex) and Kut from the Kloth (Nordstrom: similar fabrication).

I personally find the addition of polyester to make the fabric "lighter" and far more comfortable. I read on the internet how some denim enthusiasts will only wear 100% cotton. I am not one of them (too heavy; too hot). I also read that true denim enthusiasts do not like how blends stretch out. I personally have not found this to be an issue.

Being of a generation that grew up when denim = Levis, I still prefer the traditional 100% cotton heavier type. I can deal with a teeny bit of stretch, and have gotten a lot of wears from a very sturdy Gap pair that I got in 2006. I did recently get a pair from R13 that is much thinner than traditional denim - I'm not quite used to it yet. R13 is quite pricey, however, so I think it will be a one-off for me. I'm actually living more in chinos now, haven't looked at too much denim lately.

My favourite jeans are like Sterling's: 78% cotton, 21% polyester 1% elastane. This fabric doesn't wrinkle, maintains its shape, and is very durable. I have found it to last considerably longer than all cotton, probably because of the polyester.

The ones I have are from Silver. I should try Old Navy.

I'm with Sterling too. I dislike 100% cotton and won't wear it. Too heavy, too hot, too uncomfortable, first too snug, then too loose. I like the addition of polyester, even if it shortens its lifespan.

My favorite fabrication is 98% cotton, 2% elastase....still cotton-rich, but with some stretch for comfort. Most of my jeans are from Nordstrom (designer denim), but I have some Gap and Madewell jeans too.

I went and looked at my jeans after reading this thread. My favorites are the 98/2 blend. The new ones that I like the look, but not the the feel, of are the 78/21/1 mix. So good to know!
