Didn't I say I wasn't going to thrift for a while?

Well my BFF called early this evening and asked if I wanted to go with her to Value Village - love hanging with my BFF so of course, off I went. I found three great things and brought them home, but only have pics of one.

The two items I don't have pics of are: another cropped denim jacket (Brody Jeans) - this one a medium wash (my other one is a faded wash), is exactly the same length as my current cropped one which I love, and has a wee bit of distressing on it which i find kinda cool; and another pair of white jeans (who knew I'd be so lucky) that are the perfect fit and length for flats (Joe Fresh).

But the find of the night for me were these bone coloured, 100% leather, made in Brazil, Rockport loafers. I don't think they've ever been worn as there is literally not a scratch, stain, mark, of any kind and the inside is positively pristine. I posted a a week or so ago about wanting to find some flats and these were just waiting for me. They are ridiculously comfortable (like slippers really) and a very versatile colour for summer. I know some of you won't like the fact that the sole is black but that really doesn't bother me at all. What do you think?

The leather looks sumptuous and they look very comfy. To my eye, they could come across as a bit grannyish, so perhaps something to think about when styling outfits ...!?!?

Really lovely shoes! I think that the black sole helps to make the light colour not make feet look bigger too.

Woot! Another great thrifting trip. I think you needed a medium/dark wash denim jacket (seriously, I actually thought that before you got it) and more white jeans? For flats? Too awesome! I can see those with your orange flats for sure. Those loafers are cute, a little old school but I think you can make them work. If you're feeling adventurous, they'd look really cute with dyed black vamps to tie in the black sole. And we know you love a color blocked shoe!

I have a poisoned eye for loafers so I can't advise but they sound like they're in great condition! I just wanted to bow down again to your thrifting prowess! Why would you stop thrifting when you're so good at it!

Rockports are brilliant for comfort (and at least here, pretty expensive, so am doubly impressed you got them at thrifting prices!). Personally, the black soles don't bother me at all; but I have to confess I'm intrigued by Claire's idea!

What a great day's thrifting, Shannon! Of all things to duplicate, white jeans are the ones that are truly a no-brainer. If you are ever in need of a second career, you could be a personal shopper for thrifters --- even if you're paid 'thrift' rates yourself, you'll probably have tons of fun and be super successful!

As GP said: nothing wrong with thrifting when having your skills! You know, you can go thrifting AND spend the big money (with great care, of course). Nothing wrong at all! Gives a personal touch to your outfits

Great find Shannon! For some reason I find I have better luck when I'm not looking for things. I know people say go with a plan and all that but for some reason if I go in not needing anything or looking for something specific, I stumble upon good things.
