Did you try brocade shoes?

I was looking at the shoes below and was wondering if anyone has seen them or tried them on?
Have you seen other embroidered shoes that you like?
Thistle showed some nice Munros in her post, I think she got the solid black but they also come in brocade.
I am loving brocade shoes, probably for my fantasy life which is calling me now I ordered just to check them out as I find them intriguing.

Another thing would be, you probably need to really know how to style them, otherwise at my age I can look grandmotherly. Not that I have anything against grandmothers, I hope to become one some day... They are probably easier to style for younger ladies I would think.

I am seeing quite a few of them, all kinds from slides, flats, block and higher heels and booties. I do not think them grandmotherly. I too am liking them a lot. I think they can liven up any solid outfit depending on the type of shoe or bootie. #2 above would be stunning with an LBD. It would also work with jeans and a solid color top.

I would love to find a pair of brocade or floral shoes. Haven't found any yet that are comfortable, available in my size, and vibrant enough (the Munros that Thistle mentioned are a much darker floral brocade, and I think it reads older than the examples you've linked).

I keep looking for the right pair. I didn't understand them as a summer shoe, but maybe my eye has adjusted because now I like the look with cropped, raw edged jeans and a white tee. If I find the right pair, I'll wear them with dark wash crops this fall and winter.

These look glamorous, not grandmotherly. The only ones I have tried have been some lovely mules but they did not stay on my feet unless I shuffled. Now that's old lady!

This is a cute trend. To me, the second pair reads much younger than the first. I think that's because of the color contrast.

Yeah, the Munros are super comfy, but I did NOT like the floral print.

I am seeing more floral and brocade around. I even saw some with a metallic brocade. Very cool, but I have no clue how to style.

Thistle, unless I'm mistaken, those are the most versatile shoes ever. I bet skirts, long and short, jeans, and pants and shorts in blush and dark colors would all look great with them.

The main thing seems to be knowing how to style them *if* you find a pair that works.

-Joy, glad you also think they are glamorous. Too bad the slides would not stay on your feet, hoping you will find a better pair and show us how you style it

-Thistle, I actually love the print of the Munros. It would look great in the Fall and maybe non-messy Winter days.
I would try it but the footbed of Munros feels weird on my feet.

Come to think of it, I have a beautiful pair of brocade pumps that I bought in Italy and did not wear because they are very uncomfortable... it is best not to buy shoes on trips unless you have the time to really try them on and stay in the store for a good while.

I feel like the slides have the potential to be more "grandmotherly' than the ankle strap pump. I really like brocade shoes. I remember there was a pair on the NAS last year I loved but the heel was too high.

I think you can style them as the star or mix with another print as long as it's not too busy.

Joyce, I think the brighter colors look more festive, but that the other pair skews younger. I may have gotten the numbers backwards.

I fell in love with these mules but resisted ordering them. I have brocade flats in my closet and I just don't end up wearing them--maybe because they're ballet flats (which for me are always a mistake). I was afraid the same thing would happen with brocade mules--as much as I love them.

-Angie, thanks for chiming in again. I love those Munros, too bad that they don't work for my feet.
-Dana, maybe one day we will find a good pair... the ankle strap do look prettier but are probably fussier as well.
-Fashiontern, it's OK, I know it gets confusing when you are not really seeing them.
-Jill, those are very pretty! I remember I tried those but in the snake print and they did not work for me, I think they were too long in the tip. You are right about the ones you already have, unless a slide works better than a ballerina of course.

For the time being I am stretching out my Italian shoes. I should have gotten them half a size larger and I am not fully counting on them to stretch properly but I will keep on trying.
