Did I say I didn't like sweatshirts?

I did. Well, I take everything back. Maybe I will give the sweatshirt a chance... These here are unfortunately quite expensive, I had the catalogue in the mail today.

I'm definitely not a fan of sweatshirts. I have for years and years resisted the idea of going out and about in sweatpants or sweatshirts. So much so that I do not own a single one. The fact that it's coming into fashion boggles my mind!! I'm trying to be open though.

having said that, #2 with the lacy bottom is pretty appealing. It doesn't look too loosey goosey. It has some shape.

Jenny, I don't own a sweatshirt either. I had big unisex ones as a teen that I wore as loungewear, but that's it. I agree that #2 has more shape than the others. But all three are quite short and supposed to be worn over a skirt. So you'd see some shape in any case.

I like #2 a lot, how perfectly unexpected to find feminine fabric at the bottom of a sweatshirt! I just wish the sweatshirt itself was in a more interesting color than gray.

Yesterday, I decided to get rid of an ANCIENT (may 20 y.o.) stiff cotton poly pullover cheapo sweatshirt -- so I got out the scissors and made it into a blazer! Now I love it. I did surgery on another sweatshirt's neck to see if I would actually wear a pullover sweater since I don't really fancy pulling stuff over my head so at the moment I don't own a single pullover sweater. I have my eye on a couple of pullovers, but I don't want to buy anything that is ultimately unworn.

Karie, I agree! I'd love #2 in something other than light grey. Although I do like the color on me.

Thanks Angie. You're right and that's a good thing. If I couldn't change my mind I'd probably never have an opinion in the first place out of fear of being stuck with it.

Thanks Tina. I won't buy one of them because they are too expensive, but I might be more open now if I come across something similar elsewhere.

Aida is on to something, one of these with your skirts! I like #1 for that because it is more cropped for pulling off volume with volume.

I like these too! (But then again they don't have the 3 things that I dislike about normal sweatshirts - the crew neck, banded hem, and raglan sleeves. Oh and that weird triangle thing at the neck.)

I said the same thing about sweatshirts but I decided after yesterday's cashmere sweater "sweatshirt" experiment that I liked sweatshirt STYLE things, just not classic sweatshirts.

I agree with you all, I could see these working well too. Too expensive though. H&M has a cotton sweatshirt for cheap, but it doesn't have any special features. https://www.hm.com/de/product/.....le=07369-D Although it doesn't have that typical sweatshirt look either and that's a good thing. Because you're right Diana, the ones above are all lacking the crew neck, banded hem and so on.
