Which calf width do you need, Viva? I like the Tory Burch boots, but they have a 15 inch width, which is probably too wide for you?

I also love these Stuart Weitzmans (a repeat style, I believe), and they are narrower.

I'm tempted to try the SWs. My calf is 13+.
Angie, classic-ish riding boots are a HEWI for me. Black leather (although I would do the 5050 look), knee-high, flat, almond toe. I have trouble fitting my narrow calf and I don't like a lot of bagging at the ankle.
I would wear over skinnies, under bootcuts, and with dresses.

I'm wondering if I should think about actually springing for the 5050s (knee-high, not OTK) as a birthday gift for myself this year in October, or if I would be happy with the Mixitups.

I have the same calf measurement as you, Viv. I SOOOO get the problem. The SW's are great and fit perfectly. I used to have a pair just like that. VERY comfy. I passed them on this year because they were finished.

This year, I'm going to splash out and have a pair of tall riding boots custom made to my calves.

I did, but I need wide calf, so opposite issue.

Have you checked Aquatalia or La Candanian? I think Suz had luck with those and she has similar measurements.

Angie: There are only 2 customer reviews for this boot (SW Mixitup), but one says you need to size down a whole size. Do you know if that is true?

They aren't part of NAS, but I bought the Ariat "York" boots. I have a narrow calf as well (13 1/2" or so) and have real trouble finding boots that don't gap. These fit really well with only a slight gap at the top that I think I can live with. They aren't overly tall either, which helps minimize gaping. Honestly, these are the best fit I've found in over a year of buying and returning.

I think the circumference measurement listed in the description is wrong. It's definitely more narrow than 15".

These Aquatalias are on the way to me right now. I bought the same brand last year, and they fit my 13.5 inch calves perfectly. I can let you know how they fit if you are interested.

I love the Tory Burch ones, but I think they'd be too wide for me.

I didn't look at Nordstrom when I was there today but I get your problem. I have a pair of Fryes that I sometimes wear with leg warmers- the leg warmers take up the extra space.
