Desperately Seeking Sandals

I have been looking for a strappy wedge sandal in either a brown or tan leather, but everything I like has too high of a heel. I would like to find something that is between 2 and 3 inches high (total, including platform if there is one - I need them to work with some of my jeans).

I like the Clarks Wellfleet (http://www.zappos.com/clarks-w.....-red-suede) that Angie has recommended, but I don't want suede or black (that's the only leather color it comes in). Any ideas?

I like these exactly how they are pictured - in red! You may be surprised at how often you actually can, and will, wear red sandals over the course of the summer, they are pseudo neutrals.

They are cute shoes, but I really don't want red (or suede).

I like the Clarks Country Meadow. I think Angie had them in the store at one time. They're very comfy : )

Oh, good! They used to come in a natural, black and raspberry too. I'd check out Amazon and 6pm for better pricing too.

Unfortunately, it looks like only the larger sizes are left everywhere. Boo. Back to the drawing board.

I am having the same problem with sandals. I finally settled for a pair that are probably a bit too high for me, but they are really cute. It's so difficult to know how they will fit when just looking online, though. Do you have a local store that has a good selection where you could try a bunch on?

Not really. I haven't even seen anything with the kind of heel height I'm looking for. Everything is sky high. I do have a pair of wedge sandals already with a higher heel, but they are too high for some of my jeans in order to achieve PPL.

I didn't want suede either, but I bought both the black AND red suede Welfleet T-bars because they are insanely comfortable. I am on my feet all day and they are so comfortable. I only wear flats and these shoes are more comfortable than flats. The suede isn't ideal, but the comfort made up for it. I wear them with everything.

I'm glad those work for you, Marianna. It's just not the look I'm going for. I really want something for casual wear in brown or tan leather. That Country Meadow style would be perfect because it's got the thicker straps which give it a more casual feel, I think, but I guess it's last year's style, and I haven't been able to find my size (6 or 6.5) anywhere.

I thought I'll throw the Dansko Sissys to the mix too? They look great with jeans, the faux wooden sole gives it a slight retro feel, I think.

Thank you, tarzy and Isabella! I really like the Sundance sandals, but they are a bit more than I wanted to spend given the shipping (and possible return) charges. I wish there was somewhere I could try them on. The Dansko ones are cute, too. Now at least I have some good options to choose from.
