I recall there was much buzz about the long pearl necklace that Carrie sported throughout the SITC movie. I recently discovered a great little jewelry store around the corner from my place that would make me a necklace out of shell pearls. I've been wanting a new pearl necklace for awhile, since I'm obsessed with my short chunky strand but want some variety (sorry if I'm channeling you, Angie). Could you kindly describe Carrie's necklace and advise me whether that's the sort of thing I should get as my next pearl piece? How long is it, i.e. where does it hit on her body? Are the pearls chunky or more dainty? Some descriptions of how it was styled would be great, too.

FYI, I intend to buy myself a layered pearl necklace as my 50 pound reward. I have four weddings to attend this summer, so I know it will be practical as well as a worthwhile treat.
