Derek Alexander Leather handbags?

Does anyone have any experience with this brand? I came across a handbag online that is a style (and size) that I really like, but I've never come across this brand in person. Can anyone tell me about the quality, durability? Many, many thanks in advance!

Anne, I've seen them irl and the quality is absolutely lovely. The styles I saw were a bit too classic even for me, but they're made of gorgeous leather and seem to be very well crafted. If you found a style that works for you, I'd say go for it! They're not cheap, though.

Michelle, mwah mwah mwah, I'm throwing you kisses! Thank you so much for that info! I just found out that this is a Canadian brand. So I dub you my go-to DAL expert!

I do like classic. Let me rephrase that: I adore classic and would eat it with a spoon with a cherry on top if I could. And the bag I found has very classic lines. (When it comes to handbags, I am very much a "give me structure or give me death!" kinda person.)

OK, I think I just may go for this. Now the question is, black or dark brown? Maybe brown as there is a black Brooks Brothers bag I covet that is very similar (did I mention I like classic) . . .

Sparky - I vote for the brown purse at DAL - and then the black purse at BB. Angie will be so proud!

Currently I use a red leather tote, a black leather handbag (very different style from these others and one I am tiring of right now) and a brown leather backpack. I would love a saddle brown color and eventually blue, cream and other colors, but the styles I fall in love with aren't in those colors so far.

those bb bags is killing me! my only concern with the hobo is losing things in the bag bottom if there aren't enough inner pockets. the satchel is yummy. must tie your hermes scarf on the handle, for proper poshness.

BJ, good point about the hobo. Ha ha, if I do splurge on a bag or two from BB, I will only accessorize with a Hermes scarf in my dreams. The satchel does cry out for one though, doesn't it.
