Denim suggestions for curvy body

Hello ladies. I am finally semi retired and get to wear jeans! Woo hoo. I don't have many pairs of denim. I am curvy and prefer mid rise (I realize not exactly on trend at the moment). Additionally I really, really, really want a pair of full length jeans. I am only 5'6" but I have a 32" inseam. Yes thats correct. So many pants fall short on me and cropped are even shorter. I have never tried "tall" lenth because I am short waisted and just figure that will give me the dreaded "diaper" crotch.

I have had success with BR in the past and a pair of Everlaine. But if any of you have suggestions of other brands I would appreciate it.

Also just FYI I am not inclined to spend lots of $$ for denim. I shutter at the higher price brands. I prefer to spend my $$ on other clothing or shoe items.

Fellow curvy here with a long inseam for my overall height, would personally recommend the Seasalt Waterdance jeans:

The side button closure is flattering on a figure with a waist & hip difference, the pockets are actually practical, & the fit is a tapered leg - not too loose or skinny.

They're a UK brand, but do free international shipping above a certain amount (have no idea where you're based lol). So you could order a few different pairs in both different sizes & inseams (petite, regular & tall) to see which works for you (e.g. a shorter inseam may hit more at mid rise than the tall).

You may have to pay for returns but they can deduct it out of the refund for you. I did the same thing & posted my results to the forum before, so that may help you.

I used to do Sweet Straight jeans from Lucky Brand when it was low rise - now it's mid rise with slightly slimmer leg. It may work out for you - comes in 32" inseam. Trying in the store would be the best - otherwise on-line got a few options.

I have had success with Macy’s brand Inc International Concepts. They designate them as curvy. You might see if you like them. They are not pricey.

Big fan of Levi’s. These days they make lots of different styles to suit different builds. Also, different inseam lengths. Prices won’t break the bank.

Some places with a designated curvy fit: White House Black Market, Madewell, J.Crew, Free People. Good American works well on curvy figures, although they are more expensive. But you might be able to get selected GA styles from Nordstrom Rack.

It’s worthwhile to scour the offerings at Nordstrom Rack for good deals on premium denim. 7 For All Mankind does some nice cuts (the Dojo bootcut is full length and mid rise). AG also has some good ones. Rag & Bone can work too, but I usually have to have the waist altered a bit.

Athleta - they don't have many denim choices but I got a pair of their colored denim on sale this summer and the fit was great.

Thank you ladies for all your input and suggestions. I have a bit of research to do! I have moved to a smaller community and no longer have easy access to some of the stores/brands, but that doesn't determe.

Laurie - as a long time fan/shopper at Athleta (nice size store in town) I would have never thought to look there. I am curious if you recall the name of the colored denim you scored there?
