I currently own two pairs of Gap denim leggings/aka YLF "leans" and one pair of black ponte pants. After wearing them for a while, I have mixed feelings, and am not sure how to proceed.
Styling at Home Issue:
The dark wash pair is super soft, but bags a bit round the bum. I wear tunic tops that mostly cover, so it's not a huge issue. The lighter pair is tight around the calf...a bit disappointing. I do not like either one with ballet flats, only knee high boots. The catch (and you might think I'm silly) is that I do spend a lot of my time at home with the kids and I feel very unbalanced barefoot in these jeans - there's really no scrunch to them. How do I feel polished at home? (I know, I'm mental.) I was almost considering something like these house slippers: http://www.zappos.com/acorn-gi.....?zlfid=111 to balance out my lower half but I think I've lost all sense of what is fashionable at this point.
I own one pair of ponte knit leggings (skinny pants?) and I have mixed feelings about them as I feel they migrate south a bit during the day, requiring me to hike them up. The waist fit could have been better. Any other leans, skinny jeans or ponte pant suggestions? I like a high rise in the back, but not so much in the front.
I'm also having trouble styling for warmth now that it's colder. For example, I wear a cami & woven tunic...what do I wear over that when I'm at home? I do not have any cropped indoor jackets/sweaters. I still need to order some silk thermals, btw. Am I on the right track here?
Wow, sorry to write a novel...I'm just feeling overwhelmed now that it's getting colder and am resorting to stealing husband's fleeces to stay warm. Specific items are great, but I'd even just love to hear some flop-proof outfit suggestions for styling.
