Denim jacket with white jeans?

I've recently gotten a denim jacket and am trying to find ways to incorporate it into my wardrobe. I don't really wear slacks and the only non-denim pants I own are some blah-khaki pants that are slightly too big for me. I wore the denim jacket with the pants anyway, since I was so excited to wear it. I've also already worn the jacket with a dress and really enjoyed that look as well.

My specific question is, can I wear my denim jacket with white jeans? Also, any other suggestions (other than frocks and skirts...to quote Angie)?

Dani, I seem to recall Angie giving the okay for a blue denim jacket and white jeans combo. I hope so, because I wore it this past Friday. My rule of thumb is to pair that combination with a bright blouse (solid or print) to keep the look from appearing dated (also current cuts of jacket and jeans).
I wear my denim jacket open over a dress or even closed and belted with a skirt.

I have had a problem trying to find what looks best with my denim jackets also (the light wash ones anyway)...The best solution was white jeans/white summer skirts. I hope that works for you too.

Hmm, I actually thought this was not recommended, even though I could see how it works with blouses, like Sarah describes.

Dani, did you keep the M+O white jeans? Are they working out well for you?

I was told no - no denim with denim.

And I can't live without my denim jacket! Perhaps I have a lot more non-denim bottoms to wear a denim jacket with.

Sarah and Taylor are spot on. Dani, your quest this Summer is to wear more frocks and skirts!

Angie, I can't imagine wearing my denim jacket in the summer heat, but I will definitely give it a go with more frocks and skirts for the spring.

I will also try it with my white jeans. Thanks for the clarification (Sarah, I'd love to see a picture of your outfit for inspiration!).

Marianne, I haven't worn the M+O jeans out of the house yet and I'm hoping they'll give a little bit more (or I'll miraculously wake up 5-7 lbs lighter). I'll let you know how the inaugural wearing goes!
