I hadn't checked in with this site in a long time. Found out that I had entered my measurements incorrectly and instead of being an A shape, they classified me as an M. But I already knew that thanks to your expert judgement!

Anyway, I ordered a pair of Christopher Blue jeans from them since I cannot find that brand in stores. Yes, I am still on my search for great jeans. Has anyone tried this brand before? I think I ordered the "Hannah" with a 9" rise. The size they put me in was crazy small, but I went with it.

I've worn the DKNY sohos a bit to test out the stretch factor. I haven't noticed that they are stretching out yet, but they are hurting me in very, er, delicate places. What is that all about?

I know the brand. It’s not what I’d put you in! Try the COH #Amber Cut when you’re in stores.

Angie, I have tried the COH Amber and loved the denim and fit except for the waist. I had tummy spillover from the low rise. I was ready to try them based on Shiny's advice that they stretch and conform to your body, but thought I'd keep looking around. I may have to go try them on again.

These have a high rise, Chelle. Are you sure you tried on the correct style?

Yes, they were the Ambers. I guess I'm so long waisted that most higer rise jeans hit me a bit too low. A 10" rise hits me an inch below my navel. Ambers hit right under the fat part of my stomach and make it pooch out.

Hi Chelle, I tried on the COH Amber cut and they didn’t work for me either. A 10” rise is usually good for me too. According to the Nordstrom site, the rise on the COH Ambers is only 8 ¼. I’m long waisted, have long legs, and always liked my body shape, but finding trendy, comfortable jeans is very frustrating.

BTW, I was at Macy’s last week and couldn’t resist trying on the Sohos in a smaller size. They fit perfectly!!! I almost bought them but then remembered the stretched-out pair hanging in my closet, collecting dust. The search continues. Sigh.

Let us know how you like the Christopher Blue jeans. I have not heard of them before.

I think there are a lot of us who feel the same way, Cinncali...sigh! Folks here have made great suggestions and I'm slowly working my way through them. I'm interest to see if Angie has any other suggestions.

I also realize that part of this is that I am used to wearing pants too big and baggy so it is an adjustment.

I really loved the Ambers except for the rise. I haven't been able to find the other COH higher rise flares in a store...Hutton I think?

I wish DKNY would start using premium denim fabric so the Sohos don't stretch out so much

That’s very interesting, Chelle. You are long in the rise. I’ve just measured my COH’s and they are 8.5 on a size 25. I’m 5ft 6 and these are definitely high in rise on me. The rise will increase as the size increases, but I seem to remember that you wear a small size too.

Have you tried Habituals and J Brand jeans? Rich and Skinny make a higher rise too. So do Diesel and Hudson. My Diesels measure 9cm on the front rise and that’s about an inch below my navel. I hope that helps.

Chelle - that is so frustrating! You are not alone. I am still searching for a killer pair of jeans. I do like the SOHO's best of all I have tried so far, but one of my pairs has stretched a bit more than the other. Weird!

I am making a new shopping list of items lacking in my wardrobe, and great jeans are on the top of the list.

I have curves and I do have a pair of Christopher Blue jeans that actually passed the bending over test for me . If I am measuring correctly they are a 9" rise . They are their dark wash stretch jean -so they are more comfortable for me. Very little "art" on the back pockets which I prefer. I would actually like none at all if anyone knows of such a pair for curvy women?

My main problem is that I often get this bunching of material at my crotch area no matter if I go up a size ( then waist is too large)It kind of looks like I am smiling down there. Sigh.
I can't figure it out? Does anyone else have this problem?

I did finally get a pair of the Mia skinny jeans(Express) and they have a 9" rise if that is helpful to anyone. They run very long. I have fairly long legs but may resort to having them shortened.
Santa gave them to me so I am still test driving them.

I know what you mean about the sizes of the Christopher Blue jeans. I have not worn the size I have on right now since grade school. Definitely a PR thing.

What does CHO stand for?

Chelle ,I have the same problem as you ,the 9" jeans hit me at least 2 inches below my belly button. My Christopher Blue jeans are about 3.5" below but the stretch fabric is so comfortable that they do not seem obscene? I am 52 and fairly conservative. Besides I just do not have the va-voom look ,even if I wanted to go that route (of course I am talking an earlier age thing here)
I look forward to hearing about you new CB jeans.

I also have to be aware of scrunching in the crotch area, no matter what pants I try on. I have passed on many pairs of pants that fit otherwise. I always assumed it was my big thighs that caused pulling?
