I found it in a small and have it on hold until 6. It's still short but does it look any better? It's one of the last smalls left. I couldn't be bothered completely disrobing first so sorry for the potty shots...

I"m not so sure... it still looks pretty short. Not so much indecently short as proportionally short, if that makes sense.

Maya, I'm a little confuddled by the second shot. I think the dress looks great, and not really too short for your frame. And since it seems to pass the sit test, I say grab it. But..no offense...your chest in the second shot doesn't look remotely as large as you say it is. Is it just the angle of the picture...or a miracle bra? O.o

Haha, too funny Srujana. Well, I have two types of bras: the uplifting kind and the flattening kind (not to be confused with evil minimizers). Today I'm in a sack dress so the flattening is more appropriate. But fwiw, nothing ever truly flattens me out. Here's an extra piccy:

I really like it Maya. It really suits your figure and style, as long as you don't mind showing off your lovely legs (I don't think it's too short).

It's on hold at the moment. If I get a majority of approval I will pick it up after work.

I keep telling everyone what a big difference a properly fitting bra makes. Hopefully this visual will help drive the point home :p

You are going to hate this but....*You have such a beautiful shape* !!
Do you know how many women only WISH the were naturally big busted with a small waist and tiny frame!!! They spend thousands to tummy tuck and augment to look like this , only to never really look as naturally beautifully shaped as you!!!

I guess I need some clarification on what "too short" is. For me there are two kinds of short:

-Too short visually
-Too short decently

My question is mainly about whether it is too short visually, as I don't think it's too short to be decent. I'm not at risk for accidentally panty-flashing anyone and the hem lies several inches below crotch point. I know some people are not comfortable with shorter lengths but I don't personally mind them as long as I can sit down comfortably, which I think I have proven to be the case here.

Hem is very short and can't be let down more than .5".

I vote totally fab, Maya! You are young and have fab legs. One word of warning though - when you sit down and cross your legs in a short flared skirt, it gets....ahem....a little breezy. So be a little mindful of that.

I love the dress because it's really different to Maya's other dresses. It's edgy, trendy and what you want on a hot NYC day. Great with flats and nice coverage. Lots of layering possibilities too.

Ok, I had the hold extended until tomorrow. I'm going to the Rack *beaming* so I guess I'll see what I find there first and if I don't find anything, I'll pick it up.

I'm actually also thinking of trying it in a medium too. It's not tight in a small, but it is snug, and since it is sleeveless I don't need to worry about shoulder fit. That should get it to the right length, but it might be too big everywhere else. Guess we'll find out...

I was thinking that the more flared skirt needed to be longer to look more "right" but then as I was standing at my sink doing dishes pondering this I realized that back in the late 80 or early 90's we wore that silhouette all the time... short flared skirt, usually in the form of a "jumper" type dress.
