Denim Dress Arrived - Dilemma!

I was so excited to get the package and now I don't know what to do...

I LOVE the dress to death - its gorgeous, and comfy... but the 6 is actually a touch firm across my chest - in this pic I could do up one more button but that is it... So I think I probably need the 8, but do you think the rest of it will be too big then?

I've NEVER needed a bigger top without altering the bottom so this is a bit of a novelty and completely new to me. (And never needed anything but the smallest size for my top!)

I'm sitting in it now and it is cutting in a touch in my armpits... so I guess my options are upsize to the 8, or send it back for a refund... Its on sale so limited stock - I'm about to phone to get them to hold the 8 for me while I seek your opinions!

Theresa, it looks cuter on you than on the Maxshop model! I like it open with the cami. It's sexier. Can you wear it comfortably like that?

Yes. I agree with Joy. But if you aren't comfortable (I wouldn't be, I just like being able to do things up) then get on the phone and order that 8!

I don't like how it looks buttoned all the way up anyway. I'd keep the smaller size, especially if you can do one more button. Then you won't even need the cami.

I just got off the phone and they have held the last size 8 for me, so I can swap YIPPEEE!!

The armholes were just that bit too tight for me to be able to wear it even with the buttons undone and cami poking out...

I'm just scared the 8 will be too big and I'll end up with no dress at all

I don't think I'd wear it done the whole way up, but I would like to be able to move my arms comfortably and the armholes just don't really allow it

oooh and now I have to be patient and wait for mine to go back and them to resend it!

If it is too big, it's seems like it would be easy enough to take in the side seams! just a thought. Cute dress on you!

Theresa, the dress looks adorable on you! I'm glad you are sizing up though if it is cutting in under the arm-pits, you need to be comfy and practical as well as adorably cute afterall! Make sure you repost a photo when the bigger size arrives.

For the Aussie ladies - Maxshop is apparently connected to Ezibuy according to the invoice, and the customer service and shipping has been fab - ordered Tuesday night, arrived to Central Qld today. When I phoned about the exchange, they were really polite and helpful and I was really impressed.

So I would say that I will purchase from them again in the future. Always good to have another shopping avenue!!

Thanks for the extra info Theresa! Maxshop definitely has some edgy stuff and youv'e done well to track the dress down to a reasonable price. How much are they charging for postage and packaging? That put me off ordering from them one time.

I think the extra volume of the size up should look amazing, ignore the size of the label, it's unimportant, you have a fab little body regardless of whether the dress is a six or eight.

Thanks girls! I've posted it back this afternoon (express!), so hopefully by the end of next week I'll have the replacement!

Anne it was almost $15 for shipping which I did think was pricey but they aren't charging me for return shipping apparently so I guess its not too bad.

AJ its interesting you say that, I feel like I'm taking a more sexy/edgy turn these days - my confidence is increasing daily (thanks to you guys!), so I'm really tuning into the inner bombshell! (Oh and crush-boy telling me I was a "sexy little beast" didn't exactly harm the self esteem LOL).

Julie I'm not bothered by the number on the label - just more worried it will be too big because normally I have to size up for my lower half which makes things too big up top - but I think you are right - in this style extra volume in the lower half wont be half as noticeable as an ill-fitting bodice.

Will definitely keep you posted when the new one arrives!!
