When our principal announced that we could wear jeans the whole month of December, I saw it as an awesome style opportunity and a bit of a challenge. Jeans are usually reserved for weekends, so I was excited about the task of planning 15 days of denim. Week one coincided with the Picture Perfect Challenge. You can see the roundup here. I went for dressier denim ensembles for week two.

Monday: My Turkey Day outfit freshened up with a scarf à la MaryK. It was ALGO for my style, but it photographed well and I’m so glad I tried it.

Tuesday: This look was loaded with feminine details: a ruffled button down and handbag with a peplum hem corduroy jacket, bootcut jeans, wide brown belt, and brown wedges. These pieces always make me feel stylish and ladylike.

Wednesday: I wore a light wash of denim, which always looks more casual than darker rinses, so I wore my fuchsia blazer as people tend to think of blazers as formal attire. Under the blazer I wore a white button down with pink and silver stripes. I added the flower to the lapel for the photo but didn’t actually wear it all day.

Thursday: I loved the juxtaposition of dressy and casual in this outfit. I layered long strands of pearls and silver beads over a plain white tee and topped it with a fringe tweed jacket. I paired that with medium-wash boot cut jeans and dainty white Converse All Stars.

Friday: All of these pictures were taken at the end of the day, but this one really shows it. I should have ironed these pants before striking a pose. I was unsure about wearing two fur vest looks in the same week, but oh well. I layered my belted vest over a black turtleneck and wore it with my olive jeans and black booties.

Thanks for looking! I welcome your feedback/suggestions for improvement.
