I have become completely smitten with the idea of denim released hem culottes, so did a bit of online checking our a week or so ago and came across these on Shopbop, deep discount, and only ONE pair left, in the size I figured I needed.

This was going to be a K/R post, but I'm pretty sure I'm keeping them. Unless you tell me otherwise... the tags are still on. The reason I had some hesitation is that they do a slight weird thing in the front at the crotch/hip area... just a bit of folding. However... the truth of the matter is that I am very unlikely to invest in the "crop top" trend, as cropped tops just don't look good on me. My shoulders are too wide, and I look like a big square blob if I don't have length in my tops (well,maybe even if I do, LOL). So if I can wear these with longer tops, that issue is totally moot. I tried to take photos, and it didn't even show up much on the pics, so not worth showing you, and perhaps it's not even much of an issue anyway.

So. My question. Almost every pinterest photo I could find of denim culottes was worn with tees, tucked or semi tucked. I think this may be partially a seasonal thing... they don't seem to be around as much to purchase right now, as we head into winter. Do you think I can wear this with longer tops? Are the proportions JFE?
