I've always intuitively gravitated towards french style, I love its simplicity, elegance and versatility. There's an ever present timeless quality to this style that always draws me in but being in Canada and living in the suburbs, my look is never quite textbook Parisienne french style either. I just simply use it as an inspirational guideline that I often have to adapt to suit my real lifestyle and environment.
Cardigans and jeans have always been staples in my wardrobe. Here are my 3 "french chic" inspired cardigan and denim looks that I'll be wearing this season.
1) Wide- leg jeans, cream pointelle top, long brick-coloured open tailored cardigan and beige mary janes.
2) Straight-leg Levis 501s medium wash, navy polka-dot tee, striped cropped Uniqlo sweater jacket and black loafers.
3) Mango barrel jeans, striped tee, pink cropped ON shaker cardigan, with blue loafers.
BONUS: I love how I will be able to easily mix and match any of the denim with any of the other tops and cardigans too.
Anyone else a fan of French style?
Or is there another particular fashion style aesthetic that you find yourself drawn to?
Do you incorporate it into your style in some way?
