I am totally procrastinating this morning and indeed have been all weekend, hence my many posts. I have a long petition that I need to write by 2 pm and I'd best move along. But one last thing -- in my non-working, I saw two other web sites this morning discussing the words we use to define our style:

I know we have discussed this topic and people's style monikers many times on the forum.
However, I am still not clear on what "elevated" style is. I often see magazines or blogs saying e.g. that a certain item really "elevates" a look. And I can't tell whether that's just another way of saying that someone is wearing a particularly expensive or au courant piece, or if there is a different meaning. I also assume it doesn't mean high fashion.
