Decisions, Decisions - Hemming My Microcheck Pants

I don't know what to do. I really like the GAP black & white microchecks that Angie recommended, and that a few people on the forum have:

I originally thought I'd hem them for sneakers, because it's such a cool look. But I love them so much now I'm tempted to hem them for my (low heel) boots. (I was even considering duplicating them since they're on sale, but they don't have my size anymore.)

I really like the way they look with my black Converse, but my legs always look better with a bit of a heel. However, it's so hard to find smart casual pants that I can wear with flats - I know the sensible thing to do is hem them for flats. But I think I'd wear them more with a small heel. I'm driving myself crazy here!

What do you guys think?

Tarzy, do you have a Gap store nearby? You could try what I did today--go in and ask them if they can locate your size in another store and have it shipped to your home. They charge $6 for shipping (unless you have a Gap Silver card--then it's free).

Not only are the pants on sale, but they are 25% off too!

If this is not a possibility, then when do you think you'll get the most wear out of these pants? Will you want to wear them to work when you find a new job? I plan to wear my new pants to work, so I'll be hemming them to wear with a low heeled shoe or boot.
