I have been thinking for quite some time that I need to expand my bottoms options - I have several pair of jeans and that is all I wear. Skinny jeans, trouser jeans, bootcut jeans, flared jeans, my new favorite boyfriend jeans - and when I want something different - black jeans. And when I want to go totally craycray, I have a pair of navy and grey floral print pants, which are not denim material.

So I went looking and came home with my olive trousers you all helped me style plus burgundy skinnies. Together with my black skinnies and the navy/grey floral print pants, I think I have enough bottoms to essay a no (blue) jeans December. Weekends don't count, and I have one or two work days where I'll have to be climbing around in the stacks and handling very dirty objects, so I may declare those exceptions. But the goal is no jeans for the month. I only have 15 days of actual work days, so 4 pair of bottoms should be plenty.

My secondary goal is to play with layers and texture to create richness and interest instead of relying on one or two pieces of jewelry to do all the work.
