just tuned in to ylf and am fuming with my hubby! spent morning styling outfits around my vans shoes( which i thought were classic in colour and style therefore ageless) wereupon i asked hubbies thoughts on said outfits and he said he didn,t like the shoes " too young" well what do you ladies think? honesty pls.

ps am wondering wether to bin waterfall cardi?and sorry photos are all in wrong order but my button finger is a bit angry now lol

I think ageless is the right term, and timeless as well. Tell hubby to do his homework:) Your outfits are great, and I actually like the waterfall cardi. The color is very flattering on you.

I think they are a young fun look but totally appropriate for casual outfits at any age. I am 50 and would wear them in casual outfits but not with a skirt like the younger girls can do. I think they look really nice with both the white and blue jeans. Rock on Clara.

I can't comment on the sweater. I have never had any great love for the style so have a bit of a poisoned eye.

Your outfits are fabulous! You had me with the white jeans :). So fresh, modern and effortless.

To split hairs though, I do think that Converse All Stars are more classic and ageless than Vans. There is a reason that they are iconic - ageless and genderless.

I will be wearing iconic Converse till I am 100. FWIW

I pretty honest and that doesn't look too young ...i actually love the waterfall cardigan and I actually finding ispirations to go back on my converse ( i stopped wearing them when i gave birth ) thinking i was too old lol and i was 22 back then so ignore ur hubby lol sometimes i do with my hub hahaha i wear the things i want when im going somewhere without him and i but my fancy heel when im going out with him so if u want to keep him happy lol ( i know we always ask for hub approval) by the ways number six i don't like that ...the jeans with the shoes try a darker one if u wanna use the converse just a suggestion!!!! UPDATE i think vans are ageless too Im from Cali so we see lots of ppl wearing them n they look fab

Your outfits look fresh (white jeans), classic, and sporty (the Van's). If I was a Van's or converse wearer, I'd still wear them.

These exact outfits could take on a different vibe with booties, or oxfords, or something else. If you're sensitive to DH's opinions, you can swap out when with him

The color of the waterfall is GORGEOUS with the white. I'm not a fan of waterfalls, but that color is so fab I'd probably save it for summer and A/C needs.

this is a recurring theme through out my life angie i always miss the mark, havin vans instead of converse having a brown haired barbie instead of a blonde.i really want the classics and always end up with nearlies.perphaps i have a poison eye for the right thing and always go left field perhaps thats my persona?

I think you look great. The outfits with the leather jacket are my faves. I have some Vans, too. Something about the white toe on Converse bothers me when I wear the colored ones. Too high contrast or something.

What is it with our hubbies? I love this look on you. I agree the waterfall cardigan doesn't work the best here but the other variations, leather jacket, denim shirt and boyfriend cardigan are just fab IMHO. This looks more than age appropriate to me. Yes the footwear does have a youthful vibe but the look is not too young. Maybe hubby is worried you look SO good you may garner some unwanted attention

I like the Vans, especially with #3 and #6. I feel a slight disconnect between the vans and the waterfall cardi. I think in general I am reacting to not finding the waterfall look very fresh. It is far from over though, so if you still like it, you should absolutely continue to rock it.
I don't wear Converse, either. Just so you know.....
I find them uncomfortable and narrow, so I wear PF Flyers. To each their own.
