Beth and I met up yesterday for a day of shopping and it was a BLAST! You may recall, several months ago Beth and I discovered that we lived across town from each other when she offered up her Hinge jacket for sale and I replied. We planned on getting together, but then the holidays intervened. Yesterday we finally made it happen, and words can't describe how much fun we had.

We started out our afternoon at a local cafe getting to know each other over steaming bowls of crab and corn chowder. We had private messaged each other the night before with descriptions of our outfits, but in reality - none was needed! I think it was instant recognition, and we fell right into conversion as if we had known each other forever.

Beth is as charming and beautiful in real life as she is online. She has a wicked sense of humor and is so much fun to be around. She kept me in stitches with stories about restoring her farm house and her pets. I especially loved hearing about how her three goats wait on top of the picnic table every evening, scanning the horizon like little sailors, waiting for her to come home.

Beth looked amazing in her Gap leans and black lace-up Frye boots. She "surrendered" her waistline and was wearing a delicious cream tunic top from NAS that Angie had recommended. She topped it all off with silver jewelry and a gorgeous, purple Miss Sixty pea coat. She looked stunning! I wore a deep purple, ruffled top under a charcoal boyfriend cardigan with black straight leg jeans.

Now for the loot! After our delightful lunch, we started out at Nordstroms where I modeled a pair of black boots that I had brought along to get Beth's opinion. She gave the boots the YLF seal of approval, and then it was decided that I needed a pair of Gap leans to go with them. Off to the Gap where we quickly decided on a pair of leans with a dark wash. We then made our way through Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, JCrew, and back to Nordstroms, shopping for YLF members along the way. We found adorable little jelly ballet flats in JCrew for Maya, a lovely top for Jean, a jacket for April in Ann Taylor, and a tomato red bag for Angie in Nordstroms. So much fun! We felt like personal shoppers, for each other, and for all of you lovely ladies! Beth got lucky and found two Halogen boyfriend cardigans in charcoal and lagoon blue on sale at Nordstroms.

We finished off our afternoon at the Nordstrom's Cafe recapping our shopping adventures over Earl Grey tea and a chocolate chip cookie. It was a fabulous day and I'm so thankful that I got to meet our wonderful Beth in person. We are already planning on future meetups, and I am so happy to have found a wonderful shopping friend!
