April has been an exciting month for me, as I got to attend two YLF meetups! In addition to meeting Diana a few weeks ago in Boston, I got to meet several other fabbers for dinner tonight in Washington, DC.
Eva/E was coming into town for the cherry blossom festival this weekend and several of us pounced on the opportunity to meet her. She was gracious enough to coordinate among us to settle on a time and day. Aubergine, Jenny H, AM and Tanya were able to come out.
Aubergine made us a reservation at a delicious Mexican restaurant in Dupont. Jenny and I were the first to arrive so we got catch up while waiting for the others, since we had met back in the December meetup. Tanya ran a little late after the jeans incident she posted about earlier. Eva is as lovely and fun in person as you would expect after reading her posts. AM got to show off her new short hair. Over guacamole and margaritas, we talked fashion, travel, books and life in general. We toasted Eva's birthday, and wished AM an early birthday as well (next week).
A kind fellow diner took a group shot before Jenny had to leave early and we snapped a few more on the way out. After saying goodbye to Eva (and meeting her father, who came to pick her up), we all went our separate ways.
What a lovely way to spend an evening and I really enjoyed meeting/catching up with everyone! And hopefully we'll get together again soon, and that some of the ladies who couldn't make it tonight get to come out next time.
