I exchanged the black EF V-neck from NAS for the blue EF V-neck from NAS. I hope that doesn't count. And I will be buying some socks this week because I've been working out 5x per week, and my "good" socks are so much nicer than my "old" socks to the point where it makes a difference in how I feel about my workout. So that's a wellness-related purchase, not clothing
I bought a Clarisonic on the last day of NAS, but again, wellness, and even though the price comes up other places and I could have purchased it later, I was convinced by someone that the Nordies ruturn policy is like buying it with a warranty in case of issue.
Thus far, I've returned enough of my July purchases to pay for a plane ticket, and I have talked myself out of new trainers, a rain jacket, rain boots, a great deal on a pair of heels, and workout pants. There is a LOT of stuff in my shopping carts all over the web.
I've extended Austere August beyond clothing. Since I do almost all of my non-grocery household shopping online, I've given myself a weekly Amazon budget. You know how you can walk in to Target to buy a $5 lipgloss or TP or ziploc bags and come out with $150 of stuff you didn't really need? I don't ever go to Target anymore, but thanks to Prime that's me and Amazon. So each week, I have to choose the things I want/need most in my cart within the limit, and I only purchase once a week. Boom, budget!
At the end of the month, I'm expecting my credit cards to feel very rested.
