Day 6: Cold as Ice

It's 97 degrees outside and I'm shivering at my desk in a cashmere sweater and fingerless gloves. Maybe I need a hat, too.

Maybe a lap blanket will help. In one office I worked in I used a space heater and a blanket. Never tried the gloves, though.

Dammit, these stupid offices! So common here I have air-conditioner servicing personnel regularly look at me like I am the barmy old lady when they realise mine is set to 27 C...and politely or snarkily recommend Madam should consider 21 or 22 for actual cooling.

I like your handwarming solution muchly though. I used to keep one of those wheat-filled pillows to cuddle in my lap. What about the toes? My Raynauds-stricken tootsies would die in sandals, though yours are frightfully tempting.
