Between Bowie and Rickman, I barely got out of my pajamas this week. Bowie represented San Francisco in the 70s, sexy in all ways, and very, very hard to relinquish. Rickman was a favorite actor with that voice that flowed from warm honey to a steel stiletto, perfect diction paired with wicked intelligence. He made every character memorable and totally his. I had watched 'A Little Chaos', the second film he directed and starred in, just last weekend, and bought Bowie's 'Blackstar' on his birthday so their work was so fresh and vivid that I couldn't believe the news at first.
