Date shoes for tall girls!

I am fairly tall. I am 5'8 (1,73). I LOVE LOVE LOVE heels more than any other shoe. However, it truly sucks to tower over your date. I don't mind being a teensy bit taller, but towering over feels awkward. It's more because of how the guy reacts than anything else.

What do you ladies think? Do you just say "Deal with it, pal!" and wear your beautiful high heeled shoes to your heart's content? The thought of getting rid of all those beautiful shoes for some guy just seems really silly to me.

I think you should continue to wear your heels if you feel comfortable in them. A lot of women would kill to have your height, and I think it's great that you embrace it.

I agree with Lissy, wear you shoes with pride! If your date is really bothered by you looking taller, maybe that tells you something about him, doesn't it?

Absolutely wear them with confidence!

My VFBF (very fashionable best friend) is 5'11" and her DH is probably barely that himself. She adores 3 and 4 inch heels, and never thinks twice about wearing them. He thinks they are sexy so he doesn't complain.

And my SIL is a good two inches taller than my brother, she also wears high heels and it doesn't bother my brother either.

A confident man just won't care.

'Course then there's MY DH, who always begs me to wear flats... but not because of height issues (he's 11 inches taller than me). Because he hates it when I get cranky because my feet start hurting!

I'm on board with "Deal with it pal!". I'm 6' tall and my DH is around 5'8" or 5'9". A guy once told me that he could never go out with me cause we were the same height and he would only date shorter girls - can you believe that?

I did wear ballet flats at our wedding though, but they were super comfy so it worked out well. I tend to wear flats a lot for comfort and because it's weird to me to be even taller than DH, but it doesn't bother him.
