I have been enjoying my reptile print slip-on sneakers this year, and I'm thinking if this trend has some longevity into next summer, I would love another pair, but in a neutral solid. And I keep admiring all the silver shoes... so I ordered these DVs (I think they're the same ones Una tried?). And then I saw they were available in mint green.

Well, they seem pretty comfortable. Considering I have blisters on my heels from my shoes from two days ago, these don't feel bad. I sized up half a size and I think that was a good move. I would need to wear them more around the house before making a final decision, but I really like them.

The mint ones are just a tiny bit more comfortable, but I think that's because the metallic finish makes the leather a little more stiff.

As much as I like both, I'll probably just go with the silver because those will go with more outfits. Plus I just got those turquoise Nike sneakers (which I wore today) so I think I've got enough sporty spring/summer/fall footwear.

Oooh, so fab!!! I also them both. They look so comfy and fabulously styled. I agree on the silver though, if there is only room for one.

Those are awesome, especially the silver! I can see those meshing well with your style. Are they leather or synthetic?

I prefer the silver for it's versatility and it's texture/color. I've been seeing a lot of these slip ons at various low price points so expanding the collection in the future if you find you are wearing them all the time might be a plan. Also what is that doggie faceplant going on in the background?

Yeah, I love the mint, but the silver wins for versatility. The good thing is they're from Nordstrom, so I can take my time in returning the second pair...

The DVs were too narrow for me - they started creasing instantly. I like both of these for you though - tough choice!

Honestly? If the price isn't too steep, I would say keep both. Conventional wisdom says the silver pair will see more wear, but you've already made an outfit with the mint ones, and you 'do' blues and greens and turquoise so very well (and have these colours in abundance in your wardrobe). Shoes like these are also great to have to wear inside the house, as an alternative to slippers, and when you don't want to be wearing heels, etc.

My vote is actually for the mint ones--because they are more comfortable, and because they are less expected, than the metallic.

Una, if you come back -- does creasing in shoes mean they are too narrow? Why is that? I thought it just happened if you wore your shoes a lot, eventually, I mean. Or is that wrong?

Go silver! They look great on you and I "think" I touched them at Nordstrom today along with the perforated ones, which I thought were Steve Madden. Yes, isn't it hard to tell about comfort when there was one bad day of shoes in the week.

They're both nice, but I prefer the metallic ones with the outfit you're wearing. You look great in those shorts, too.

Darn it, I like both too. If you can only keep one, then silver for versatility.

And this is where I go off the rails. Because versatility can get boring. Not that the silver is boring, but wouldn't it be fun to have coloured sneaks? Or anything? As a wise woman said " Let the closet maximalists unite!" :).

And speaking of shoes, have you checked your messages? I think one may have got by you...:).
