Wow! Did I say WOW! Thanks so much inge! I will definitely look at these! I did a little shopping a few days ago and was whining to myself about the lack of browns in stores.....you must have heard me across the miles .....back to online shopping! That faux leather jacket looks good enough to eat!!

Thanks for the finds, Inge. I think true chocolate brown is a good color for me, but not one I find often. This looks to be a good season to find some browns!

Chocolate brown is one of my favourite colours for clothing. I love that J Crew velvet blazer. How yummy is that?

And to go with those browns, see the Bobbi Brown eye shadow below which I just got a few days ago. I've never spent so much on eye shadow, but I figured that four matte colors I would use is probably better than most of a larger, cheaper palette that I wouldn't use. The texture is creamy so I don't get that colored dust all over. What a revelation!

I was thinking that for us brown-eyed gals, brown for us is like Angie's olive since her eyes are green.

It seems that StyleFan and I have the same tastes. I ADORE that JCrew velvet blazer, and chocolate brown is one of my great loves (well, along with chocolate, itself... heheh). Thank you, beautiful Inge!

DonnaF I'm looking at that bobbi brown eyeshadow collection...light browns are the eyeshadow colors I always come back to, they seem to work well with my steel blue eyes. I like the idea of a creamy formulation....I know what you mean about getting colored dust all over. Thanks!

p.s. before Inge wrote this posting, I ordered and returned some jeans very similar to those Style & Co jeans near the top of the finds list. The only difference is that the ones I ordered were petites. They are a nice dark brown and this brand usually works for me, but the "mid-rise" length in a petite size was too long a rise for me, while at the same time the pant length was a bit too short. I need a pretty short rise on pants so if you are more average in your rise measurements they could work for you.

I used to have a chocolate brown velvet blazer (Tahari IIRC), but it started looking dated a few years ago so I gave it away. The JCrew blazer reminds me of it!

After eliminating so much brown from my wardrobe some years back, I am kind of craving it again.
