Ever since Angie's blog post, I've had the Matisse Nugent booties on my wish list, waiting for the day I end Austerity August. I have the same booties in animal print, and I love them -- they're comfortable, and I like the refined shape, walkable wedge, and pointy toe.
But I just remembered that I have the Donald Pliner dark red booties from a couple of years ago, which I also still wear and love -- they've been tucked away for the summer months, so I almost forgot I have them! They are still in very good shape, and I definitely plan to continue wearing them.
Do you think these are different enough to justify the Matisse ones? I feel like they have quite different vibes, and I can see wearing the Matisse booties when the Pliners just don't work. For instance, the Pliners have a more rounded toe and a wider top that cuffs. I wear them with skinnies or sometimes with rolled BF jeans. The Pliners would work well with my baby bootcuts and flares, and I think they would also work with dresses or skirts.
What do you think? Go for it, or expand my bootie color horizon and go for something like navy or dark green? Or do both?
