I will wear them all day today to really test the comfort, but they are comfy right out of the box! I do wear socks with my tennies, though. If I were to want to wear these without, I would size down. I am a 7 or 7.5 and got the 38's which are described as being 7.5 to 8. Pretty accurate, I would say.
Atlantia, I've never tried Cons, so can't say. And honestly my only Keds were leather! The canvas is pretty sturdy and stiff, not likely to sprout a hole any time soon, if that's what you mean. I did read a review or two about the rubber toe separating from the canvas after time. Heck, that just takes shoe glue if it should happen. Any snowboarder has experienced that scenario
Overall, I'm very happy to have gotten purple. And, yes, I could have waited for cyber Monday to save $9 more, but I felt I got a very good price at $39 instead of the retail $70, so I am perfectly happy with my purchase

I like them. I've worn Danskos for years and can vouch for their comfort. I'm usually a 7 and wear a 38. They are WAY more comfy than Cons in my opinion. Great color, fun and great price. Win, win, win!

Oh, you got your preferred color at a lower price! I approve of the sale stalking

And, like the other ladies have said, I think it's the fun purple that takes these clogs from clunky to cute!

So I have been wearing them around the house, and I do get heel slippage. I read some reviews that said Danskos are supposed to do that, but I think that's for the professional clogs?
Here's the thing - if I order 37's they are at the now cheaper $28 price. Adding the cost of shipping the 38's back would still only equal what I originally paid for the 38's. But if the 37's are too small, returning them would then inflate my total outlay to $50 to stay with my original 38's.
Problem is, I don't know just how in between sizes I am. If it's worth the risk to see. This is the part that sucks with online ordering.

Oh, and add to that I'm driving across the county in a week so a new order might not even get here in time, but the drive time eats up my return window. ARGH.

I have the the sport "Professional" I think--they are ages old. Mine have always slipped in the heel. For me, the smaller size mushes my toes when I'm on my feet for a long time. I prefer the size up for comfort. Is there anywhere you can try the 37 locally?

ETA: Are these not clogs?

Kelly they are lace up like sneakers, so the fit can be adjusted. I pushed my foot forward while standing and can squeeze my index finger in between my heel and the shoe.
No local try on
I may have to truck these across country to try and exchange later. Or wear thicker socks lol.

Okay, I just put mine on and I can slip my finger easily in the back. My toes don't touch the front tip of the shoe at all. I can feel my toe against the top of the shoe though. I also see that my "sport" clogs are 37's--I had green suede and black suede years ago that were 38s. Those are long gone though. I do think the looseness makes them comfortable--but mine are clogs. I'm used to that fit, I guess.

ETA: I think as long as they are not falling off and that your feet feel stable, a little loose is okay.

Thanks for chiming in on the fit! I would just hate too tight shoes for long hours at work. Guess I need to just adjust a little to the idea that these are not my Asics running shoes that fit my heels like a glove hee hee.

EDIT: and perhaps I'll start with them behind the bar where I stand and pivot side to side more instead of out on the floor where I'm constantly walking, and up and down stairs.

Can we see a full body shot? Like Anna, I have a poison eye for sneakers with skinnies, but I am willing to give it a go. Love the color! And it looks like I'm in the minority, plus they are pretty cute.
