This is a continuation from my post about dance dresses.
The last RL dress came today and I see no competition to the red beauty. It is a nicely made dress but it does not excite me as much as the red one. In addition it is straighter in the skirt and therefore does not provide as much movement freedom as the red one even though the high slit helps. In summary I liked it in the picture much more than I liked it on me - so back it goes. The red dress will wait until I am back for the final decision but I am inclined to keep - if my Mom can shorten it in the back without loosing the style (I need it shorter than the floor length for safety while dancing)

However there is another item which came today and which I am inclined to keep - Kensie fringe faux leather skirt. It is a lot of fun and I think it is perfect for dancing - cha cha anyone?
Unfortunately size L (as recommended by their website for me) is too big so I have ordered M. The only issue that it has a bit of smell so I would need to see if it will air out or not but I really like the style for dancing.

Well gosh I think you need to keep the skirt based on photo #7 alone FUN SKIRT. I love it! Hope the smaller size works out. I agree with your assessment about the dress.

I would return the RL too; it seems a little too formal for dancing. You want something that is glamorous and flashy.

I have been looking for a skirt like the fringe one. It looks so fun! Definitely keep.

That fringe skirt is fantastic! Definitely a keeper. I agree about the black and white dress. I like it but both the red and blue dresses were better.

I think your assessment on the red dress is PERFECT....though I did love the blue too. This dress is a tad too formal for dancing.

WOWWWWW! Can I shout louder?:-) Please keep that skirt(and top also fab!!!!!). I was eager to see that bl&w dress on you, and it looks fine-but not for dancing(pls. keep the red and the blue, too!)! If wanted to keep only one piece from these 2 here, I would surely no brain keep the skirt! So fun and cheering!!WOW!:-))

You might practice in fm fringe with partner to see it in action first- if the fringe " behaves" though, it would be fun.

Agree on the black dress, not as good as the other two. But keep that skirt for sure, so perfect!!

Wise choices, I think. The red is spectacular, but I agree - the black and white was more interesting in the catalog photo. I think it's the broad, square shoulders of the model that set off the slit sleeves and help the two tones to show better from the front as well as the side. The red dress is a real winner for you.

And that fringe skirt! Wow! My enthusiastic spinning would whack my partner too much with the fringe.

You know what - looking at stock pictures I thinki I put the dress on backwards Ginger, I don't think I lack the shoulder width - it is more like I have extra inventory in the hip department compared to the model

Yes, the skirt has to pass 2 tests before I decide to keep:
- airing for the smell;
- dancing test with my hubby

Oh that skirt is big big fun! I sure hope the size/smell work out because it is perfect for dancing so I can't imagine that it won't pass the test.

I think the black and white dress is flattering on you but better for a more formal occasion than dancing the night away

I think I know that smell... i have had it on belts and purses before. Try laying it outside in the sun for a few hours, inside out.
I hope it works for you because that skirt has cha cha cha written all over it and looks so cute on you.
This RL doesn't touch the red dress.

Sveta. I wanted very much to comment on all of your dancing ensembles and I got distracted. Your dancing ensembles are breathtaking. Just breathtaking. I literally can imagine you moving in these outfits.
