I think you should wear the coat as a dress. There, I said it.

I really like the coat with the berry colored dress!

I vote for the blue dress because the colors look lovely together and I like that the hem of the dress is lower than the coat.

Hi Rae, I really love the coat. The pattern is so beautiful and rich. I trust you will decide on a great dress that is both flattering and appropriate. I personally love the blue dress with the closed toe nude heels but I am 100% sure you will put together a fab outfit.

If you don't mind sharing, what part of MO will you be visiting? I am originally from MO so I was excited to see that your dad is getting married in my home state

Luna I was not sure whether to appreciate your comment for a solution or for comedy! is it bad that I was tempted??

Abc, he lives in Kansas City!

so I can lower the berry dress by about an inch making it about 5 inches longer than the coat. I should probably do this anyway. I will give it a go and see how it works.

Oh cool, I have to go to KC fairly often for work but I am from the other side of the state. Enjoy your trip!

I really like the blue dress with the coat. And also Una's coat as a dress idea

I agree with Sveta's comments overall; I like the tonal dress/coat look and the closed toe shoes. However, if black is appropriate and would not be taken the wrong way, I LOVE the Black Halo dress.

I adore 7! Kind of a Rae twist on the Queen's jacket/dress ensembles - except better and you'll have a cooler purse : )

The coat is gorgeous.
I want to like the tonal berry dress look because it seems so logical, but in the photo it looks like too much berry. A bit of contrast actually sets the coat off better to my eye.
I like the blue dress for a wedding, though it's not wrong to.wear black when styled with so much other color. If you were buying a dress I'd go navy.

Without reading any other comments, I LOVE #7 minus the necklace (the brocade and sparkle and draping are plenty to my eye).

Nothing to add, they're all beautiful. And I'm envious of that stunning coat!

Gorgeous coat! All the looks a lovely, but put in another vote for #7.

Love the coat too!

Rae, I live on the Kansas side of Kansas City and the weather can be anything from hot and humid to cold and windy in April. Last year I think we even had some snow then, although the last date for frost is April 15th. The one thing you can count on is that it will be windy.
I love the coat! Just realize that it may be too warm to wear it. I don't think you can go wrong with any of your outfits.

Nothing much to add but want to say they are all lovely. I would go with the one that your happiest factor is highest in - cant go wrong with any of these.

LOVE #7 it looks really great with that dress! Or the black one - both are great!

I love the black halo dress with the brocade jacket. If you get hot and want to take off the jacket, the dress will look amazing!

I completely change my comment for before that internet pic wasn't doing any justice ...i really love #7 how u style it ...looks appropiate to the ocation

LOVE #7!! Congrats to Papa-Rae!

Rae, those strappy sandals need to be passed on - too much toe. Dated. Say goodbye!

DH likes #7, too.

Angie, that is so funny - the sandals were inherited from a friend not too long ago, and they have yet to pass muster in an outfit. Now I know why! I DO have long toes, which does not help at all.

I really like 7.

There you go! No more dainty strappy sandals for you
