Cutout Chucks came

The cutout Cons just came and I need your opinion. They fit perfectly, I love the one inch heel elevation but my inserts sow through the lower cutouts. Should I return them or ignore the black showing. Am I being too picky? This foot issue is new to me but I have to learn to deal with it. I really love them! An I the only one that will notice the inserts? What would you do?

i had to look twice, and i knew what i was looking for, to see the inserts.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I have inserts too so I notice them (but I'm not sure others would). This is why when I was looking for cutout booties I was adamant about not having the cutout go all the way down. I think if the shoe was black or a dark color it would not be an issue, but to me it's pretty obvious with the white.

They sure are cool though!

The black doesn't bother me because it's very hard to distinguish from a shadow, especially in the photo. If it was more noticeable in RL I wonder about maybe putting a strip of 'flesh' toned stretchy fabric tape (like you use for securing gauze to a wound) just around the outer rim where it peeks through.

Those are very cute and the inserts were not apparent to me, and I doubt they would be noticeable to a passer-by.
But I'm really wondering about the lacing. How does it feel when you walk? Does it cut into the top of your foot / leave a mark?

If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have noticed, and does not bother me at all.

Just like Kkards said, I had to go back and really peer at the photo before I could see what you were talking about.

I think this is something that has to be eyeballed in real life - and from the perspective of someone's full height, because I suspect that, looking down from a five foot or taller height, the insert probably isn't very noticeable.

I would ask family, friends, etc. if the inserts are glaringly obvious, while you walk around the room.

As for the insert, well, will it bother you if people do notice? I think some will and some won't. It really is a comfort thing. No point keeping them if the insert issue is going to bother you. You should feel killer when you wear them, no reservations.

Very cute. Unless the inserts are more noticeable in person I think they are fine. They really look like part of the shoe to me.

I agree they are not noticible I wish they came in wide width. Are you narrow or wide with does your toes have room the breath (wiggle room)

Fun shoes! Too bad inserts aren't skin colored. Wouldn't that make more sense??

Thank, all. I tried them on without the insert and my foot does not have enough volume to fill out the shoe. The insert helps in that respect. It give it more structure.

Viva, The laces do not bother me. In fact, they allow me to tighten the shoe so it fits my foot. They do leave a mark but if the shoes had tongues, they would leave marks also. At least on my feet.

LW, I do have a narrow foot but the laces enable adjustment for width. I have wiggle room in the toe area but I have pointy toes. I say give it a try. I think they will really fit a foot with more volume than mine.

Oh, you got them!! They are so much fun.

I think rabbit offers a good potential solution! If you're bothered by the black IRL then maybe finding a way to colour the inserts differently (or different inserts, if they are not custom) would help!

*So* cute! I wouldn't have noticed the insert if you hadn't mentioned it. And yes, are they custom? If not, just get the white foam ones from CVS. They'll blend right in.

If you were sitting next to me on a bench or a couch with your legs crossed, I might notice. But maybe not. I'd certainly be completely taken by how great your shoes were, though. I doubt I'd notice your inserts at all if you were simply walk past or standing next to me.

Inge, they are very comfortable. I need special inserts, not custom but ones with a specific arch. I took them up to our expert running shoe store and the staff loved them They ordered a different insert so we will see how they look.
