Current BF Jeans vs several years ago? ETA pics!

What is the difference? I bought 2 pairs of BF jeans in 2010 - which sometime last year started feeling really dorky on me. In looking at pictures of the current ones, my guess is that the 2010 jeans have a wider leg opening at the bottom? Is that it? Do the current ones taper more?

Hi Marley! You always were ahead of the curve! Do you have any pictures on your computer of your 2010 version, or can you take some and post them? I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference but someone in the Boyfriend Gang could, I'm sure.

Wider at the bottom (vs. tapered being newer) and some had pretty dropped crotches. New ones might also be slightly more fitted. Also, the new way is to have a smaller roll, not these big folds.

Does that make sense?

Ok - here's some pics of my BFs from 3 years ago. I think this was one of the first WIWs that I posted - and I was actually posting them to get feedback on the Owl purse, and also to show how wearing my shirt backwards did NOT work due to the large armholes. What do you think of the jeans? Should I get them tapered at the ankles and then roll them with a smaller cuff? Im desperate to update my look with minimal expenditures! (These jeans are Paige.) Thank you!

Marley, those still look really good! Try pegging them with a smaller roll; the leg seems narrow enough that it may not need a full on surgery to taper them.

I agree with Rae, these still look current, and you rock the look! A smaller roll may be all they need.

Thye work. Like it's been already said just do a smaller roll. Heck I'm wearing my three year old GAP BF jeans and they passed forum approval.

Yes, they still fit you great and the only difference these days would be to fold a small roll (that might mean cutting off some length. . .) and THEN consider if you want to narrow the lower half of the calve a bit.

You are amazing to be so faithful to your SYC! Reduce, reuse, recyce is so wise for all of us - you are inspiring, Marley!
