Culotte/Maxi Options for Summer

So batting for Team Pants, I struggle in the warmer weather for bottom options. I have the baggy tapered pants and stock standard shorts covered but considering some other options that I need some opinions on.

1. Culottes/Skorts. I am not 100% sure about the width of these but I like the fact that it looks like a skirt but has the comfort factor of a short.

2. Curved Hem Maxi. I know alot of people have a poison eye for maxi's but I am trying to add some structure into the maxi by adding some splits at the side plus a curved hem to show some skin and my footwear underneath. I would be making these myself by the way. So any feedback is appreciated, and would love to hear if anyone has worn any similar items.

I'm not really in to culottes/skorts myself, but that said my sister has some that look just like a short skirt and are really cute. I think if they look like a skirt - which is hard to tell from your picture but it seems that yours does - culottes can easily work.

I like your maxi, especially the curved hem. I have a couple of similar ones that I wear in the summer. I can't exactly figure out why they are so cool and easy, but they are. I get multiple compliments when I wear them for what that is worth.

I love the skorts!

As for the maxi, I'm not really a big fan of the genre altogether. Have you thought about choosing a sheer fabric, with the lining coming to above the knees?
