Crotch fit on pajama pants?

Sorry if singularly obtuse but how are those drawstring waisted or elasticised pajama-STYLE pants meant to fit on the derrière and crotch. Roomy? Bunchy? Snug until top of thighs? I see all sorts... What is 'right'?

ETA: I mean the new to-wear-in-public super roomy pants. Not the ones you sleep in

Um, mine have a roomy fit over the bum and a slightly dropped crotch point. This is what makes me comfortable to walk the dog in them at 6:30am

I never wear them out of the house, but I wear mine the same way Adelfa does - roomy with a slightly dropped crotch point. I am not sure there is a "right" way to wear one's pajamas, however, as it is all about what is most comfortable for you. For me, I like my workout pants snug and my pajama pants loose!

Then when he stood up he fell on the floor in what his terrified wife at first thought was a fit. Very few of the clan sympathized with him as to his resulting shoulder. They thought it served him right for wearing new-fangled duds. If he had had a proper nightshirt on it couldn't have happened."[26]

^ Oh, if we are talking about pajama/track pants intended to be worn in public, I definitely think they need to be slightly roomy/baggy. In your own home or to sleep in? Whatever is comfortable.

Suz, that is the greatest quote. Whatever term did you search on to get it?

I suspect fluid but not baggy. They shouldn't bunch up and balloon around the waist...

Fluid is my guess from the few I've tried on. I think the volume should hang in vertical folds which break at knee level or below if at all - no horizontal activity going on. This is assuming we're talking about the ones made from silky fabric?

Yes, I imagine them as fluid -- draping nicely off the derriere, falling into fluid fabric that don't cling to the thighs, a slightly dropped crotch.

A woman who can rock harem pants like you do can put her crotch point anywhere she likes! Seriously, I like a fluid fit with drape over the hips and thighs and ease in the crotch, without an exaggerated drop.
