Cropped Suit Redo

Hello all! I found some shorter jackets and shorter capris for an outfit I posted last week.

I have to admit, my legs do look a little longer in the shorter capris. But I think the cut of the longer ones slims my thighs a bit more. Is there a perfect pair out there that slims the thighs AND extends the legs? For less than $200? Or just wishful thinking...

I think the new pants make a world of difference. They look sleeker. My jacket preference is the Body by Victoria jacket. I like the shoulder detail and lately I'm just not loving mandarin colors like Liz Claiborne one. Now add a pop of color to the outfit and I think you'd be in seriously killer territory.

the shorter pants are great. Thank you for putting the pictures next to each other for comparison. That is really helpful.

I do like the full sleeved jacket better. There's something funny to me about cropped pants AND cropped sleeves... like it's a suit that went in the dryer or something. Let's see version #3 with a colorful scarf and maybe some red shoes!

oh p.s. the shorter pants don't make your thighs look heavier, not at all.

What a difference the shorter capris make! I'd toss that first pair or shorten and streamline them. It isn't just the length, it's also the width below the knee. You might roll up the shorter ones to hit on the knee and see what you think of that length too. It would seem that when the leg looks longer, the thighs would naturally look slimmer. To me a narrow cut is key. Your thighs don't look heavier in the shorter style.
I like the Liz jacket best as being a little less traditional.
