Cropped poncho for shorties?

What do we think of this? Does this really give the drama of a poncho? What I like is the swish factor of oversized and fringe, but too much can be overwhelming. Thoughts?

Looks great! I like the idea of a shorter poncho.

Though, I wonder how it would work on the larger-busted? It might sit awkwardly.

I'm 5 feet tall. I wore a ruana to an event today. It's about 5 feet long plus fringe but it is split and the neck part has a smoothed out notch area
for your neck. The pieces that would hang down in the front (or back and front of you on one side if you wear it that way which sometimes I do) are 2 feet wide.
I have no problem with this. I drape it this way and that, fling one end over the back, sometimes wear it around me like a cape but fold it back double on itself with the hands end going back up towards the shoulder.

There are ways to wear it that also leave you free to wear any kind of
handbag you want, including crossbody.

ETA: I also sometimes belt it in various ways to control volume wherever I want to.

okay, I looked up a skull cashmere poncho. Just do what I said on one side and fold up one side toward your neck. That side will be shorter and show your clothing plus give you an interesting asymmetric line. If it doesn't stick to itself, then put something like a big radical looking brooch or a humongous kilt safety pin on the shoulder. Voila, a wearable poncho cape for shorties.
