Cropped cardigan

I am on the lookout for a cropped cardi just like this one:

But I don't want cashmere. Too expensive and too much maintenance for something I plan to wear fairly regularly. Also, no matter how much I pay for knitted tops, they will pill fairly quickly. I have one cardi that I think is cotton and it has lasted forever, through several washes, without pilling, so that would be marvelous.

I'm looking for a cream or white cardi, and also a colored one. My heart is set on yellow...bright, cool yellow. Not orangey yellow. Long sleeves or 3/4 sleeves. If you see or know about any such thing, let me know.

I don't have any ideas but I am in the market too. I am looking for some with 3/4 sleeves and a more fitted silhouette. Last time I was in the mall, I looked in all the usual places - AT, BR, J Crew, Martin & Osa, AT Loft etc and didn't see any that would work. I usually have luck at Ann Taylor for these but lately everything is a more boxy shape and either really short (bolero length) or really long (boyfriend cardi). I keep hoping that as the stores get more fall merchandise that I will see some of these but I don't know if we'll find more selection in cotton (it will probably be merino at best).

The Jackie is not a cropped cardigan. It comes to my hip bone. I don't think it's what Maya is looking for. Of course, correct me if I'm wrong, Maya

Maya, how about this Gap one, in a petite? It does have *some* cashmere in it, like 10%. It's handwashable...they don't have yellow, but they have blue, very light grey that looks white to me, and purple:

Also, since you're short waisted (right?) maybe a bolero style cardigan would be more of a cropped length on you?? I'll keep looking...

I might have to get that second NY & Co one in teal, even though it's not exactly what I was looking for (but it's cheap so who cares!).

The only reason I was looking at crewnecks is because they seem to be more versatile in how they're buttoned, but it's not that big of a deal. V's are probably better anyway since I'm busty.

I didn't see it in the store, but I might have just overlooked it. Shana, if I find anything I will report it post haste.

Tanya, the Jackie cardigan is pretty but will be too long on me. I'm looking for cropped cardis because of my shorter upper half. I like my bottom layers to peek out from underneath

Oh and I'm plenty open to juniors sizing. I think I'm young and poor enough to pull it off.

I have that second NY&C cardi in gray. The fit is great. I have a short torso and it is very flattering. I just ordered a few more colors since I like the fit so much

I know I do not post much. But I do read Angie's post and the forum daily.

I was in The Limited this afternoon and saw a cropped Jacket that looks almost like the Boden one. ( no pictures as limited does not have web site). Thought Maya might want to check it out. It is made of cotton, nylon & spandex and cost around $40.00. They had 3 or 4 colors in my local store.

Hope you have a Limited nearby.
