I agree they are too wide, and too heavy, I think. I also think you should look for a frame that goes up from the nose, rather than straight across. Whether the top falls exactly on, or just follows your brow, I think you'll need something more curved across the top in order to fit your bone structure.

I also have a crazy wide, mauve pair that don't flatter me at all, but I bought them as a kind of tongue-in-cheek pair and don't wear them when I need to look professional...(-:

I'm assuming you're looking for an "every day" pair, but it's nice to have a couple pairs to wear depending on your mood!
