We have just decided to squeeze in a little trip to Greece next week, for my birthday and as a last hurrah before my son goes off to college. We are flying into Heraklion, but haven’t decided yet if we will stay there or go to Chania. We are mostly going to be beach bums, looking for waves and absence of wave runners or other annoying noisy things. We will go to either a museum or some ruins, and otherwise relax and enjoy good food.

I’ve had this in the back of my mind for a while, but didn’t know if we’d be able to do it, so I don’t have anything sketched out at all.

Any suggestions on which of those towns to stay in, specific properties, or how to travel between the towns? Taxis are apparently $200. I’ve seen busses mentioned, but don’t have info on them yet.
