Cream or light colored boots--how versatile?

HI Ladies,
I have not posted for a while but remain a devoted YLF follower

Previously I had been going crazy over a white leather jacket and you all helped me through that one(my sister ended up buying me a cream moto for my birthday--yeah!). Now it's boots. I have a total love affair with all things white and ivory, but I am still surprised this even crossed my radar.I was trying on end of season boots at Nordstrons Rack and came upon a pair of Frye boots that were cream in color.They were the wrong size but the color was FABULOUS. Now I am obsessed with light colored boots but am wondering how versatile are they? I assume they will cut the leg line so that issue is one little one for me since my legs are already short. But in terms of stains and wear, in addition to blending to wardrobe, how do they stand the test of time? Angie I saw those fantastic cream boots on your post last week.They are not helping the situation;-)

I think light will be beautifully dazzling on you. In terms of stains and wear it will depend on the fabric of the item you'll definatley need stain protector on suede i've some pale grey suede boots which get a good dose every few months of wear and touch wood still look good x

Thanks for the advice and input! I was thinking of leather, but not suede , to avoid TOO much cleaning. Something like these but maybe higher to the knee:

Oooo those white ones are yummy i think Angie may start swooning!
I think leather would work much better and i think as long as you clean them regularly you shouldn't have a problem x

Yup, think I will stick to leather if I bite the bullet and buy some like these. Light colored boost were not on my "list", only cranberry/wine colored ones, which I just ordered. Yikes, must get over this "wanting" disease!
If I can find some nice cream colored ones for not too much cash I may take swing at it Still not sure how well they work into a wardrobe without really standing out though....

When you have cream hair, cream shoes are a slam dunk. They work with everything.

I LOVE light coloured footwear. I think it's pretty and modern. I have not found my cream footwear less practical at all. I have white 20 eyelet Docs that I wear in the pouring rain and they’re fabulous.

GO FOR IT.

I love the way those boots looked on you Angie, they were fabulous indeed. Perhaps it was the cream hair working as sandwich I have dark hair and dark skin, so that won't be happening with me! Plus I definitely don't have your style panache to pull off some of these outfits I generate in my mind, I don't think. Still I do love the cream colored boots. Perhaps I can give them a whirl for the spring.I really like those I linked above, so perhaps if they go on sale I'll spring for them
