Katiepea, wait, I don't get it, is she on YLF too?

No Scarlet, she's not active on the forum as far as I know. I only know who she is because she advertises and does a lot of work as a stylist around my local area. I don't actually know her personally and have never spoken to her previously. We also have separate friendship groups that as far as I know, don't overlap.

Soooooo..... How does she know my name? Plus that little smile she gave me was an "I know what you're up to" friendly knowing look. Of course, I admit I could be *totally* wrong and she knows my name for some other reason, but, it does raise to my mind the potential possiblity that she knows what I've been up to...

Still, I must add, I always wonder if I shall one day randomly bump into one of you ladies, somewhere in our fine little world. That would be exciting!

And of course, our wonderful and beautiful Michelle has absolutely proven that it can happen!

Lol, this reminds me of our Aussie YLF Gathering. I was first to the place we were meeting and nervously scanning the doors/street outside for any familiar YLF Faces. Well, I didn't see anyone I knew at first but THEN...

I saw a perfectly turned out lady walking across the street in a purple trench coat, polka dot blouse, pencil skirt with a perfectly positioned belt, and a wonderful red bag and thought, she MUST be a YLFer!!! It turns out it was the lovely Sharon, whom I had never seen before (I don't recall seeing any WIWs from Sharon). But I knew on sight she was influenced by YLF! She knew me though having seen my pics and said, "It's Tara, right?".

SO cool!

awwww stories like this just warm my heart!!!! What a fabulous meeting!!

I think if I saw Michelle I would be too star struck to remember to speak LOL actually, that goes for a lot of you fabulous ladies, so you'd probably think I was a mumbling nutter!!

What a great/funny coincidence, Michelle and Gaylene (and then Taylor and "accoster" and possibly Katiepea, too).

So glad you were brazen, Gaylene -- what a missed opportunity otherwise!

But yes, definitely underscores the public nature of the internet.

[I'd rather be found because my "secret" is that I have an interest in clothing than for a lot of other "48 Hours" type of revelation-y things, though!]

Oh, how funny Michelle and Gaylene! That is such a neat way to meet someone in person.

With me, I'm not sure whether or not I'd recognize someone from the forum in real life if we weren't planning on meeting, but just happened to be in the same place - one of those things where I have trouble visually placing someone when they are out of the context you are usually seeing them in.

As far as I know, I'm not aware of any real-life friends who know of my online YLF & blog identity. However, I've highly recommended YLF to friends & family from time to time, so it may be that they either haven't stumbled across my name in the forum, or they know of my identity but are keeping quiet.

I find that a bit freaky that someone I know might be watching me but thats probably because I come from a small country where everybody is bound to know someone you know anyway. And as someone said there are far worse things you could be doing online than taking an interest in fashion and styling your clothes.

That is cool Michelle. And incidentally I rarely talk about YLF to anyone, but you are the one YLF person my kids know about because I showed them your video clip.
