Crazy Saks Sale!

Obviously, I'm not doing any shopping but a friend of mine was just telling me about this crazy Saks sale - 70% off many designer items. I guess most of the good stuff is gone already since card holders had a pre-sale but I just checked their website and was surprised to see some of the bargains (Joe's jeans for $35, some theory dresses for under $100 etc). Thanks so much Shana. This is the best sale I have ever seen. I just bought a $1300 Burberry coat for $400. I would attach a link to that and other stuff I got, but the Saks website keeps crashing. Everyone else must be looking too!

Thanks for the heads up Shana! I broke my "accessories only" rule again! I got this Milly dress, which has been on my wishlist for ages:

It was on my fantasy wishlist, since $500 for a dress just isn't going to happen--but it was on sale for less than $100! I'm doing my happy dance, because now I get to at least try it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it fits and is flattering.

If anyone has stuff on their "to buy" list, the Saks sale is definitely worth checking out!

Ana & Steph, I'm glad that someone could make use of the information since the only shopping that I am doing is in my own closet! One of my friends really scored a bunch of designer items at steep discounts - a cute Gucci bag for $200, COH jeans for $50+, some DVF dresses <$100, and 2 pairs of Louboutin heels (for $150 each). I was shopping vicariously through her! Like I said, most of the really incredible deals were gone during the pre-sale period. But on Tuesday evening, I did still see some of the Mackage coats (the good ones are gone now) that I have been coveting forever and they were priced for around $250!! Makes we wonder what is going on with Saks...

I just got home from checking out Saks in person. I was hoping that they would have the two dresses I ordered in the store so I could try them on (I'm so excited!) but they weren't there. Our Saks is very small (the smallest one in the line, they said), so they don't have too much to begin with. I didn't get a chance to check out the shoes. I am going back tomorrow morning to try on a DVF dress that is on sale for $65.00! I have a strong feeling that it won't work for me (I think I'm too chesty), but it'll be fun just to try. I wonder what is going on with Saks, too. Maybe they just want to beat all the other higher end retail stores for business, so they're hitting the holiday season running.
