That looks like fun! I hope you show us the finished products! I have no experience making hats.
After all the mask making last year, I decided to try quilting. I started with a table runner, and am working on a wall hanging for my mother….who likes birds. I’m using a kit, because I don’t have much time to fuss with creating my own design. The wall hanging will include a six bird section….smaller than pictured….
I recently joined a knitting group and am trying to improve and learn new skills. The first project I chose to work on with the group is this tweed sweater with cables. I used a tubular (provisional yarn) cast on, and double pointed needles for the sleeves. It’s knit top down and without seams. All these techniques are new to me…. Each row of the torso pattern is different, so it requires close attention, counting, stitch markers, etc. The knit shop owner warned me in advance that it would not be an easy knit. It was not. I have one more sleeve to complete, and a few stray pieces of yarn to weave. I’m happy with the result and expect it will be finished this week.
I joined the Stephen West MKAL (mystery knit along), which is a shawl
pattern using new to me stitches and techniques. My shawl has many mistakes but it’s fun and I’m learning. There is brioche stitching in the next section and I’m looking forward to a new challenge!
I have my next knitting project lined up. The yarn is ordered and should be here soon. It’s an easy to knit duster cardigan pattern. I’m using different colors than those pictured…..
