Coveralls versus overalls?

So I've been obsessed with overalls since Manrepeller posted some and I pinned this look

I found these overalls

But Totokaelo will be getting more of these coveralls in my size

The overalls I can layer all sorts of things under them from t-shirts and turtlenecks to button down shirts. But the coveralls are really kind of funky.

The overalls make more sense to me but the coveralls are probably more of a statement. I wore overalls in college (late 70s) and absolutely adored them. My mother, not so much.

I love the coveralls! I guess I can't get over the Farmer John or Osh Kosh association with overalls, but rather like the mechanic/race crew/etc association of coveralls. I've been obsessing over various Demobaza jumpsuits/coveralls...

The overalls will give you the most versatility across the seasons and opportunities for wearing with different weight tops if that matters to you, but the coveralls are really memorable and unique.

I like them both equally, just depends on what factors you most want.

Those C&E overalls are an amazingly flattering shape, I think they would look fantastic. I'm still traumatized by a pair of Gap maternity overalls I wore twelve years ago...

I think the side view on the coveralls is squirrely. They look very narrow in the hips and thighs. I prefer the C/E ones for versatility and shape, or a better cut of coveralls.

How about both - but choose one in denim. I prefer the denim jumpsuit - coveralls. And perhaps the overalls in another fabrication.

I say coveralls. The look is so intentional and new vs the overalls which can just read as super casual. Disclaimer: I live in Wisconsin, the land where overalls are still considered suitable for basically any social activity.
Maybe in a more urban setting they would look intentional but I still like the coveralls more.

I like the idea of coveralls better for the sheer unexpectedness of them. I've seen too many hippie chicks in overalls so maybe my eye is a little poisoned to them.

I remember overalls being all the rage in the mid 90 s so I have a bit of a poison eye for them. That said, the coveralls always make me think of mechanics. I think the overalls will span more seasons for you, so I would choose those just for versatility.

I like the coveralls more than the overalls. While I realize overalls would be way more versatile, the coveralls are much more unique.

I love both! I think it comes down to fit--seems like you want that slouchiness, so whichever one can deliver that best gets my vote!

Hope your father is doing okay (and you too--caregiving can be tough).

Late to the party! But had to comment. I have seen way to many pregnant women wearing denim overalls to have any real appreciation for them:( I LOVE the coveralls.
