Courtesy return label from eBay

I filed a complaint about an item and was about to ship it back. eBay just sent me an email with a prepaid postage label so I'm not out the cost or returns.

Thumbs up for me as a buyer!

Boo for me as a seller with a buyer who works the system!

I have issues on both sides - I am right now out for a dress that arrived totally ripped from the strap. I mailed it back, with USPS #, but it tracks to nowhere . . . lucky me. I spent the $4 to mail back a $9.50 dress and am out both at this point. Grrr.
Return fees are my worst shopping problem, along with getting to the post office at open hours and getting in line.

Agree. Mmmm. I put in a fair comment with a neutral rating for a seller and have been harangued by the seller and by eBay to retract it. I am a seller too but not a big one, so like you guys I appreciate both sides. I wonder if eBay is responding to a fear that individual sellers will abandon them and it will become an Asian manufacturers shop front for cheap mass produced gear, so they bend over backwards to keep everyone's ratings close to 100%. Anyway, I didn't retract.
I just received a survey today asking for feedback from sellers actually. They could make the postage processes much better with some pro action around tracking, for a start.
Do either of you use Etsy or an alternative? A

Archer, I love Etsy! I haven't been on there in a looooong time. I can get addicted to it very easily though
